Amy is an associate within the Aviation Group with a broad experience of transactional, regulatory and contentious matters. Her experience has included: advising on aircraft leasing and financing, drafting terms and conditions of air carriers and tour operators, advising on travel law, handling passenger claims on behalf of several major scheduled air carriers, advising in respect of offshore helicopter operations, advising on coverage in respect of aviation insurance policies and advising on the start-up of a new UK airline.

Prior to joining Ince & Co’s Aviation team, Amy worked for Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Amy also advises on a range of asset finance transactions and has previously assisted on trade finance transactions and sale and purchase agreements. In addition, she has assisted on commercial disputes, including English High Court and arbitration proceedings. 

Recent experience

>  Advised on the unprecedented Atlas Air/Apple Bank/UK Export Finance financing for GE engine upgrades (shortlisted for the Export Credit Deal of the Year category in Airfinance Journal’s Deals Of The Year 2016);

>  acting for a junior lender in respect of the financing of a Leonardo AW169;

>  acting for a financial institution in respect of an aircraft charter agreement entered into pursuant to a joint marketing card services agreement;

>  drafting an airline’s first loyalty programme’s terms and conditions of use;

>  drafting an airline’s terms and conditions of carriage;

>  drafting the UK terms and conditions for a tour operator and advising on compliance with the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992;

>  managing a global project regarding the sale of package travel in multiple jurisdictions;

>  advising underwriters on issues of coverage;

>  advising in respect of offshore helicopter operations, in particular passenger and property liability; 

>  acting for a major European low-cost carrier in relation to the defence of a large volume of Regulation (EC) 261/2004 claims;

>  advising on aspects of the Air Asia flight 8501 loss in December 2014.
