Anna’s expertise encompasses all aspects of the firm’s shipping practice. She is an experienced litigator and has advised clients on matters before the English courts and in London arbitration.

Anna frequently advises clients in relation to disputes arising under ship sale and purchase agreements, shipbuilding contracts, charterparties, bills of lading and other commercial contracts.


Anna advises clients on all aspects of the firm’s shipping practice. Predominantly a dry shipping lawyer, her primary focus is on sale and purchase and charterparty disputes.

Anna also has experience of advising in relation to admiralty matters, including casualty investigation, general average, limitation claims and issues arising under bills of lading.  

Anna also advises clients in relation to non-contentious drafting issues.

A secondment to Ince & Co’s Piraeus office, developed Anna’s practical knowledge and commercial understanding of the shipping industry.   


Anna also has experience of acting in international arbitrations concerning disputes arising in relation to the construction of oil and gas pipelines.

  • In The Aktor, (PT Berlian Laju Tankers TBK v Nuse Shipping Ltd) Anna successfully acted on behalf of the Sellers in relation to a dispute concerning clause 2 of the Norwegian Sale Form 1993, and the place of payment under an MOA.
  • In The Rewa, (Polestar Maritime Ltd v YHM Shipping Ltd & Another), Anna acted for the successful Seller in a dispute concerning clause 8 of the Norwegian Sale Form 1993 and the documents to be provided on delivery.  
  • National Navigation Co v Endesa Generacion SA (“The Wadi Sudr”) (2009) EWCA civ 1397
  • Acting for Owners in seeking to obtain injunctive relief in order to restrain proceedings brought in Spain in breach of the contractually agreed jurisdiction clause providing for London arbitration.   
  • Acting for slot charterers in relation to the loss of a container vessel. Advising clients in relation to limitation regimes, casualty investigation and cargo claims.
