I joined Gordon Dadds in 2014 from Davenport Lyons, where I had been working since 2005. I completed my BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Law, before going on to complete a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and then a Masters degree in Philosophy.

Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1982, I have gone on to develop significant expertise in commercial and residential property law, as well as joint ventures and property finance. My specialities lie in providing commercial advice, guidance on approaches to resolving disputes and handling complicated situations on behalf of clients.

When I’m not working, I enjoy stone sculpting, bridge at competition level, and keeping fit as a regular gym goer.

What is your best legal anecdote?

Approximately 15 years ago, I was introduced to a new prospective client by an existing client who happened to be a senior member of a Middle Eastern Royal family.

On apologising for being without business cards, I was advised that the introduction made obviated the need for any business card. That person promised to call me the next day, and did so. I still represent them both.
