Rania is the Managing Partner of Ince & Co’s Dubai office. Rania qualified as an English solicitor with Ince & Co in London in 2000 and relocated from London to Dubai in 2013 with her family. Her practice focuses on shipping/offshore energy disputes as well commercial support to companies in the shipping and offshore sectors.

Rania has over 19 years’  experience in international commercial arbitration, maritime litigation and advising companies on their commercial contracts.

Rania has been involved in complex arbitrations and litigation involving the energy and offshore service industry.

Of particular interest to Rania is the energy and offshore support service industry and she is closely involved with a number of the largest providers of offshore support services. She has been involved in significant LondonHigh Court litigation on behalf of an offshore service company and their claim for recovery from the London insurance market.

Furthermore as a result of her involvement in the leading case of Gdynia v Gearbulk, which concerns the right of a buyer to claim damages from a yard which fails to construct and deliver a vessel, Rania has developed a specialist practice advising on the issues which arise in relation to construction contracts. She has also represented Middle East based offshore support vessel owners in relation to numerous arbitrations against a Yard arising out of termination of the OSV construction contracts.

Rania was also the lead partner on a matter in arbitration under the DIAC Rules involving a dispute arising out of the sub-contract to carry out the mechanical, electrical and plumbing works of an airport construction project in Dubai, UAE.

She also frequently advises upon the terms of the Supplytime charter and has been involved in disputes between owners and charterers regarding their respective obligations there under.
