I have 45 years post qualification experience and my speciality lies in estate planning and it is the challenge of getting this right both tax-wise and for the family dynamics that I find absorbing.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling and visiting restaurants. When I have time, I’m also passionate about reading, particularly about English history.

What is your best legal anecdote?

There’s a historic one that goes like this -

Complaint from a client that an itemised bill contained the following:

"To crossing the road to wish you good morning when after all it wasn’t you: 1 shilling and nine pence."

What is your most notable professional experience?

A career full of variation, from 28 years representing the Guide Association as their legal consultant, to acting for the founder and co-owner of an international business in selling his interest for more than $40m, to close involvement in a high-profile domicile case in the Singapore Courts.
