Svenja’s litigation and arbitration practice covers international commercial disputes with a focus on wet shipping and multijurisdictional issues. In addition, she advises clients in the renewable energy sector.

Svenja handles all legal issues related to admiralty law and international trade and advises shipowners, charterers, P&I clubs and hull underwriters on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Furthermore, she regularly advises clients on offshore construction, transportation and installation contracts (in particular FIDIC-based).

Prior to her law studies, Svenja has worked for some years with a leading Hamburg shipowner and chartering broker. She studied law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and Emory University, Atlanta, USA. During her studies, she spent time working as a research assistant with an International Group P&I Club in London. During her legal traineeship, Svenja worked with the German Embassy in Singapore, the decision division i.a. competent  for vehicle construction (incl. shipping) at the Federal Cartel Office in Bonn and in the shipping department of another international law firm in Hamburg. She joined Ince & Co upon qualifying in 2012.
